where to snorkle in Roatan?

I tried to book a tour through Rony but no one ever got back to me:(. So my question is where is the best place to snorkel in Roatan? We would love to see the reef. Is it best to go with a tour guide? And the places suggested, are they off a beach? Any currents we would need to worry about? Any information will be much appreciated.

We were there a few years ago and went with Victor Bodden to a place right next to Tabayana, which you could only book thru Carnival. We could just swim out to an amazing reef with lots of coral and fish, it was not only the best snorkeling we have ever done, but it was right off the beach!

I have snorkeled at three places from the beach and like Maya Key (Fins and Flippers ) best. When I was at West Bay Beach, I did not see as much coral as others have reported. I must have missed the better spots.:(
