Johnthed0g Posted January 11, 2010 #3 Share Posted January 11, 2010 Well if you are just there for the day don't just sit on the nearest beach, the four coasts are all different, South-commercial holidaymaker orientated, lots of bars & nightclubs, bust beaches with facilities. West- traditionally the classier are with better hotels more quality restaurants, tranquil pretty but narrower beaches, unfortunately a lot of building going on now. North- a trip to North point to see the waves crashing in. East- wild & beautiful not good swimming but great beach walks. There are also plantation houses, botanical gardens, shopping in Holetown & Bridgetown, Submarine trip, Catamaran snorkel/turtles, at least 2 great golf courses. Depends on your tastes really. rjscott Posted January 11, 2010 #4 Share Posted January 11, 2010 I would hire a driver and take an island tour. Stop for some photo op's (there are lots of them) and then maybe take in an attraction or two, depending upon what appeals to you, or just end your day with some time on a beach or sitting at an outdoor cafe in Bridgetown having a Banks beer and enjoying the end of your day before returning to the ship.
