Anyone ever do B2B cruise on different cruise lines?

We are thinking of trying a Western on the Carnival Dream, stay overnight at hotel to wash our clothes, then get on RCI Freedom for an Eastern. We did RCI Liberty in 2008 and loved it. We can save money by doing Carnival so that we are able to do a B2B cruise. Just wanting some other stories about how it was for you,did you like Dream, good hotels at Port Canaveral, etc.

P.S. We save money by 1(the cruise on Dream is cheaper) 2(We can park for free at hotel for second leg) and 3(we don't have to bring as many clothes by washing at hotel and save by not washing on ship).

May 1-8 Dream

May 9-16 Freedom
