Old San Juan

Going to be in San Juan and wanted to do something cultural. We were going to head to Old San Juan. What is there to do there? Food? Shopping? Any recommendations.

It sounds so simple, but really...just walk around OSJ, it will impress....Walk along the costal walkways, walls and forts. Sit in the plazas and observe. Shops,restaurants and sights are everywhere....Take advantage of the free shuttle service. Ride the streets in an open sided vehicle, see the sights and get out of the sun for awhile...Just take it slow, get a map, stay on the shaded side of the street, walk & gawk...it's plenty cultural...and inexpensive.

Hop on the free trolley. Ride it the whole way around the loop then the 2nd time you get to El Morro, hop out. It's a very nice walk back and you get to see a lot of the city on the trolley first!
