Extra Excursions on the Eastern Caribbean

Hello,

On our last cruise to the Mexican Riviera we booked excursions through the cruise line in Cabo and Mazatlan. At the end of these excursions we were happy to see that "extra excursions" were offered by the locals while we were still technically under the cruise lines excursion. For example, banana boating on a beach day in Cabo... horseback riding after kayaking in Mazatlan during our relaxation time on the beach.

We're curious... Does anyone know of excursions we can book for the Eastern Caribbean (January 2011 sailing) that may offer similar opportunities by the locals?

Thanks!

Check the board called "ports of call" on this site. Find your port and you will see many posting about various private companies you can hire. We started booking private tours a couple of years ago and have not been disappointed. If you do a little home work, you will find wonderful tours that are right for you at lower prices than the cruise line offer.
