What to do for half day in Barbados before flight?

Hubby and I just booked a Windstar cruise that finishes in Barbados mid-March. My flight won't leave till 3 p.m., and I need help figuring out what to do till then. We will be getting off the ship in early a.m., of course.

 

I'd enjoy a beach and nice (upscale) lunch. A hotel would be fine--matter of fact, might be a good choice because we will have luggage (just a carry-on size for each of us, though) and a hotel should be able to check it for us (for a fee, I'm sure).

 

We aren't keen on group sightseeing, but maybe there is a local company that can offer something to do for us? Any suggestions?

 

Any sideas for where we can spend the half day? Your help would be much appreciated! Sue

Do BOTH.... beach, then up to the airport & instead of sitting about go see Concorde.
