Need help with Freeport Excursion

I am trying to decide between the following for our (DH, DS 16, and me) for March.

Factors:

  • Best value for the money
  • Ocean temps in March for snorkeling
  • I'm overweight and worried about getting into and out of water from boat. I'm fairly new to snorkeling and have only done beach snorkeling up to this point.
  • Don't want there to be so many people we can't see anything.

Choices:

  • Sea Safari Snorkel - $49 including transportation
  • Sand Dollar Catamaran - $45 - no transportation
  • SeaWorld Semi-sub - $62 including transportation
  • Glass Bottom Boat - $45 including transportation

I have read good and bad reviews of each of these. I would appreciate any suggestions. Thanks.

A tip:

If you're providing your own transportation for a morning excursion.......

We had an excursion set for 9am at Lucaya, and our ship docked at 8, right on time. It took until almost 8:30 before the paperwork cleared and we were allowed to disembark. The weather was iffy, and we were running late. NO ONE else was waiting for a shared van. So we hopped into a private cab and paid something like $30.00 to get over to Lucaya. When we got there, the snorkeling trip had been canceled due to the weather.

The moral to the story is, if you have a cellphone, take it and call the excursion if you're running late or aren't sure about the weather. It will save you stress and money.

Wish I could help you with your list. Sorry......
