Just received our cabin assignment. Booked category J Guarantee. Received category II Cabin L224.

 

Just wondering if this a good place to be since it looks like there is a pool on the Sun Deck above it.

Lido is very convenient and not that noisy as long as you aren't under the gym/weights/treadmills. Nice upgrade!

I found another thread on CC that talked about cabins on Lido deck and most people were happy with the assignment. A few complained about heavier traffic in the elevators. Since we'll be sightseeing 11 of the 12 days I don't think that noise early in the morning will be an issue and I travel with a white noise machine anyway.

My sister got her assignment as well on Aloha cabin A204. I found 1 cabin available near mine. In your experience would it be worthwhile calling Princess to request a change?

Did you both book direct with Princess? Is the cabin on Aloha the same category as the one near you? If yes to both, should be no problem. If your sister worked through a travel agent, and the cabin is the same category, the agent should be able to take care of it. If the cabin is a higher category, it can still be done, but will cost her more. If the cabin is a lower category, and it is past the final payment date, may be a problem.

 

All of which is to say - it depends on the circumstances. Hope that is helpful:confused:
