brucory Posted January 22, 2010 #2 Share Posted January 22, 2010 According to http://www.cruisett.com, the Statendam is in San Diego today!! She is heading out on a 12 day Mexico itinerary this afternoon. :D:D:D
DAllenTCY Posted January 22, 2010 #3 Share Posted January 22, 2010 The Statendam has been in Vancouver for about 2 weeks, and will remain there until the Winter Olympics are over. The ship in San Diego today is the Zaandam. David
trvlcrzy Posted January 22, 2010 #4 Share Posted January 22, 2010 Statendam is currently out of service due to a contract to provide housing for security personnel during the Winter Olympics. The Statendam will not sail again until March 4, 2010. I have recently noticed that the cruisett site is often incorrect. Many of us on this board became addicted to daily location reports posted by Laffnvegas. Laffnvegas asked for a break, and Luvtwotrvl has kept this tradition alive. http://boards.cruisecritic.com/showthread.php?t=1125851 Oosterdam will soon be joining Statendam in Vancouver. jtl513 Posted January 22, 2010 #7 Share Posted January 22, 2010 Thanks for clearing that up. Goes to show cruisett is not always up to date!! Apologies for quoting an invalid source!Whenever a ship is in drydock or chartered, cruisett will show the ship "stuck" in the port where the last non-charter cruise ended. The Olympics time is essesntially the same as a charter. But ... in addition to that ... cruisett has a lot of other errors too. Take it as a guide, but not as gospel! :)
yyzatcqq Posted January 26, 2010 #8 Share Posted January 26, 2010 Ahh... so that is the ship I saw docked at Ballantyne. When I flew into Vancouver the other day I'd swore I saw a HAL ship at Ballantyne.
