Last minute travel

Has anyone ever used this site to book hotels in Canada? How is this site?

My nephew booked a Chicago hotel using this site and had no problem but please check their cancellation policy before booking.

There is a way to find out which hotel last minute travel is offering. Click on the secret hotel and look at the url browser for the hotel number. Also click on "more info" about the hotel and compare the hotel amenities to the 2nd link below.

For example - in the link below, the number is 1670

http://www.lastminutetravel.com/PageHotelDetail.aspx?hotelId=1670&provider=localTgsProvider&SearchResults=1

Using the link below, I inserted (or replaced the previous hotel number with) 1670 and you will get the hotel name. You will note that the hotel amenities are the same.

http://www.touricoholidays.com/en/PageHotelDetail.aspx?hotelId=1670&provider=localTgsProvider

So in this example, hotel #1670 is Ramada Inn and Suites in Vancouver.

I hope this helps you. I learned this trick from another travel forum.

Hoe did you find the hotel id# I tried to find a hotel in downtown miami for Sept.and I can't find the id#

I am sorry, ranchette - I guess I didn't explain it very well.

Please let us try again -

Click on www.lastminutetravel.com

Complete the info as if you are booking a hotel (date and place)

It will show you the selection of secret hotels (5 star, 4 star, etc.)

Click book it and look at the url in your browser.

I tried booking Miami, clicked a 5 * secret hotel and I got this url in my browser

http://www.lastminutetravel.com/PageHotelDetail.aspx?hotelId=917&provider=localTgsProvider&SearchResults=1

so the hotel ID is 917 as per below

hotelId=917&

copy the following link to a new browser and insert 917 to _____ as in

hotelId=____& and take out the unnecessary spaces

http://www.touricoholidays.com/en/PageHotelDetail.aspx?hotelId=__&provider=localTgsProvider

so it will look like this

http://www.touricoholidays.com/en/PageHotelDetail.aspx?hotelId=917&provider=localTgsProvider

click on the above browser and the hotel is Intercontinental Miami

I hope the above explains it better.
