juanacruz Posted January 17, 2005 #1 Share Posted January 17, 2005 Has anyone taken this tour? I am looking for a tour that is not to hard, but where we can see the countryside. If you have been on this tour, let me know if it was fun and worth the money? Thanks.
lesharona Posted January 22, 2005 #2 Share Posted January 22, 2005 I too would like to hear what this tour is all about. We have booked it mainly for my parents who are elderly. It seemed like one of the few tours offered for moderate activitiy Please post about this tour, and let us know how you liked it. thank you, Sharon
lostinplace Posted January 26, 2005 #3 Share Posted January 26, 2005 My parents took this tour last week. We booked it thru the ship for them (Royal Carribbean). This was nice as they met in the theatre and were escorted to the tender and didn't have to fight everyone else to get off. They commented that the ride from the tender drop off across the harbor to the Mangrove River was a little bumpy, but that the ride up the river was great and they saw a lot of animals. There was a small convenience store at the end of the river where people could us the rest room. The museum they went to was in an old jail, which my dad thought was really neat. My mom uses a wheelchair for long distances (she can stand a walk) and they helped her when needed and carried the chair on the bus and on the boat. I think it worked out well as it got them off the boat for a few hours, but they didn't have to struggle with the crowds. As far as price, I think it was $36/ea. When compared to other tours, this seemed reasonable enough.
