Lido Deck Cabins on Liberty

Recommended Posts

We are planning on booking our next cruise on the Liberty. We usually book the cheapest cabin available. We are limited to cabins with a king and two beds (either uppers, sofa, etc.) Normally, we're banished to the Riviera because we are cheap. But this time, we've found cabins available on Lido without much of an increase in price. We've never stayed on Lido. It sounds great, but just wondering if anyone has strong feelings either way. Our one worry is the noise. Anyone have experience there on the Conquest class ships? Thanks.

I've never stayed on Lido, but the last cruise and on this next one I will be on Verandah. I like it b/c I can just walk up a flight of stairs and be on the Lido. A lot of people don't like being on Verandah b/c you are right under Lido and if you are under the pool or buffet you can hear charis scraping and such, but it didn't bother us last time.

I've read many people say that they love the Lido rooms b/c you can get up and walk staright to the pool and buffet, especially in the morning for coffee. Just what I've read in the past.

We were on the Lido on the Valor, a sister ship to Liberty. It was fantastic and not loud at all and we were very close to the opening to go out to the pool area. I would suggest staying away from the atrium area if you like to go to bed early as music is played until late at night. Otherwise, you should be happy.

FYI we were in 9287. A perfect cabin/location/balcony/noise level!

We were on the lido deck on Liberty in October and loved it! Very easy to walk to breakfast and bring it back to our room if we wanted. Someone else mentioned the atrium, I do have to agree, it wasn't a problem for us, but a couple of nights we heard pretty loud music/ singing until 11:30 or so. No big deal for us, but might be for someone else.

We were on the Lido Deck on Liberty in 2008. That is our favorite deck for our cabin. (In fact, we booked a Lido Deck cabin for our Splendor cruise next year.) Besides being closer to the pool and the buffet, there are fewer cabins on the deck so fewer people walk around. There are "Star Trek" swooshing doors between the cabin area and the outdoors, so we never heard noise.

We really liked the fact that, while sunbathing, we could quickly and easily go to our cabin if needed.

We had cabin 9288 on the Liberty last year and booked the same cabin on the Victory this summer. From now on the Lido deck will be my 1st choice even if I have to pay a few extra $$. No lines at the elevators -EVER!! Could look down into the atrium if they were having performances. The elevators took you straight to the shopping and casino area. We did the movie screen on deck most nights instead of the shows and loved it being steps from our room--(private bathroom-or husband's rum supply)--- The bartender is only steps from your room. My husband gets up early---really early--he would just go sit on the Lido deck and drink coffee...and when I woke up I was steps away. We loved it....

We had a Lido deck cabin with balcony on the Spendor last November. We mostly loved it. It was great being close to the pool and buffet. Getting morning coffee and late night pizza was nice.

Some mentioned the noise from the atruim. Sometimes the music was loud but it usually was over by 11:00. We were very close to the elevators and when the doors between the elevator area and the cabins were closed the noise level was way down.

we have been on 4 cruises and the last one in sept we were on the 10th deck on the glory the panorama and it was great. My wife loved it because she was just steps away from the room during the day while she was laying by the pool. We were in an inside room after having two balcony rooms we were only steps away from the front observation deck but it was not as great as a bal room. I say it is defently worthe the 50 bucks to upgrade to the higher deck.

Quick Question - We booked cabin 9287 and some of the reviews stated you would likely hear moving of deck chairs during the night. Did you find this to be true?

That is my ONLY reservation about this cruise. I play hard I want to sleep harder LOL.
