VaCruzers Posted May 23, 2004 #1 Share Posted May 23, 2004 I ran across this article on RC's new Low Carb dishes in the Miami Herald. Here's an excerpt: Royal Caribbean, too, has just introduced low-carbs to its menus. Among the new low-carb entrees are teriyaki glazed salmon on wok-sautéed Napa cabbage and ****take mushrooms, rotisserie rosemary chicken with spinach and Thai-style ginger and lemongrass shrimp with stir-fry vegetables. A Royal Caribbean spokesperson said the new dishes are already on some ships and will be on the entire fleet by the end of May. Have any recent cruisers tried them? sea_u_onboard Posted May 24, 2004 #2 Share Posted May 24, 2004 I guess no one wants to do low-carb on a cruise? I would be interested also in knowing how it compared. -- Cheryl ****Proud member of O.A.T.C.**** Check out my Homepage in my profile for Conquest info 10/99 Fantasy 12/01 Inspiration 03/02 Inspiration 03/03 Conquest Trying RC - Rhapsody May 30, 2004
Nancyquilts Posted May 24, 2004 #3 Share Posted May 24, 2004 Sounds interesting, but I'll never give up the breads - they sure have good bakers on all the cruises.
Nitra Posted May 24, 2004 #4 Share Posted May 24, 2004 I used to low carb and know others that do it now and we always do ok on the ship without a special menu. I would order the meat without any type of sauce, have a salad, some veggies, etc and it always did ok for me. I even have lost weight in that 7 days. Im with Nancy, the breads are to die for but I dont think Ill be eating them anymore but that is another story.
