Courtyard conv center in New Orleans Taxi or shuttle fare

We are planning on staying at the Courtyard conv center in New Orleans(free parking) and was wondering how much for either a taxi or shuttle to the port? A total of 9 freezing pathetic Bears fans on this cruise.

Cabs to the port are a fixed price per person even though your hotel isn't far from the port.

 

There is a shuttle that runs from the Fulton St garage. It is supposed to be for people who park there. Not sure if you can sneak your way onto it. 7 people at one time might be a little obvious.

 

Another option might be to shuttle people and luggage in a vehicle, park the vehicle back at Courtyard and then for only 1 or 2 people to pay for a taxi to the port.

I think tht's what we may do. The front desk person said the hotel is 2 blocks from the pier so I may just shuttle everyone there, drop off luggage and walk back from the hotel. thanks
