Carnival rates

I would suggest that you go to the Carnival site and read the conditions of each plan. See what works best for you. You are going to get many differing opinions of each plan here. Most of the people that have had problems with the ES plan failed to read the conditions prior to booking.

I'm trying to decide which rate to book. Do you book the Early Saver or Fun Saver Rate with Carnival and why? Also will Carnival's insurance cover a pre-existing condition?

We book the ES rate (unless we're in a group) because it's cheaper and we never change our plans and always buy insurance, if a legitimate problem should come up. I would not get Carnival insurance though, we always get TravelGuard which you need to purchase at deposit time to cover pre-existing conditions.
