kenholt Posted February 4, 2010 #1 Share Posted February 4, 2010 Hello all, my questions is,with the new terminal for the oasis of the seas,is there parking at the terminal or do you have to go to another part of the port and park near some other piers?? Thank you in advance
mgg42 Posted February 4, 2010 #2 Share Posted February 4, 2010 No, they always park the ship right next to the terminal! But you really shouldn't worry about it. They pay the captains handsomely to make sure this happens without a problem. Oh wait......You're talking about parking a car! Sorry, couldn't resist! From what I have heard, there is ample parking right next to the terminal. In any event, follow the signs, and you'll likely be able to drop the luggage with the porter, and then go get the vehicle. Silvery Seas Cruiser Posted February 4, 2010 #3 Share Posted February 4, 2010 We parked right directly across the road from the ship in parking Lot eighteen. We had no trouble at all. It isn't covered parking, a disadvantage, but then you don't need to bother withe elevators and luggage. It can be a long walk if you park at the farest reaches of Lot 18. MTSHQMP Posted February 4, 2010 #4 Share Posted February 4, 2010 We also parked right across the street from the terminal. Funny story (unless it happened to you in which case I am sorry for the trouble you had) When we were leaving the cruise there was a man underneath his car taking off his spare tire. At first I thought he had a flat but then there was a ton of a liquid streaming out from underneath the car. My first thought was it was gas but it turned out to be water that had accumulated in the trunk while we were gone. Apparently while we were gone there was a ton of rain and some how it got into the trunk. I have never seen this before but I give the guy some credit for figuring out that where the tire bolts onto the car is a perfect drain. I am guessing other then being a little damp and a bit of an inconvenience he drove off fine. Moral of the story is that I never thought much of covered parking until that day! bajathree Posted February 4, 2010 #5 Share Posted February 4, 2010 Super easy parking and seems quite secure....however it is a big OPEN lot...you can clearly make out the area on the bottom right side corner of the pix below.
allenee Posted February 4, 2010 #6 Share Posted February 4, 2010 Is there ample handicapped parking? We have a lift on our van for my scooter and have a problem parking in tight spots.
