Renting Beach Equipment - Cash or Charge??

Hi,

I am hoping to find a beach that rents kayaks, water bikes and maybe does parasailing too. Do you know if I need to bring cash for that? Any idea on how I would find a guesstimate as to how much $$ I need? I am thinking straw hut rentals on the ocean probably don't have credit card machines. But it would be nice if I was wrong!
