Western Itinerary Entertainment Times ?

For those that were already able to book their entertainment for the western itinerary.....is it the same as the "showtime at a glance" PDF that Royal has on their site or has any of the times changed:confused:....also any idea when the second formal night is going to be:confused:

Warning for those doing eastern. The PDF for the eastern did not match up with our sailing on 5/22. It was backwards of what was posted on the PDF and what we had on the 1/16 cruise.

I have no idea. I was surprised due to the fact that on our 1/16 cruise, Hairspray was offered at the beginning of the cruise and Come Fly With Me was offered the last few nights. This time around it was the opposite.

By the way, I will be interested to hear your thoughts on Costa Maya with the Oasis and how she handles the crowds. Especially if there are other ships in port with you. I have it on good authority that Falmouth is still over a year away from being ready due to more delays and that Costa Maya will be the port of call for an even longer period of time that has been announced. Looks like we will be heading to Costa Maya in January.

Well that sounds exactly like the PDF they now have on their site....at least the one I downloaded for my June 15 western itinerary.....hairspray is day 1, 2 and 3 with come fly with me day 6 and 7....Oasis of dreams is day 1,2,3,4 and 6.

Yea, things seem real quiet on the Falmouth front...thanks for that update.I will be sure to post....may be mostly a ship day for me though....we shall see.....I am headed there in April on Liberty and then again in Oct....so Oasis may be the time to stay on ship mostly.

 

I see you are going on Oasis again in May....so I assume thats Eastern again?

Yeah, we're doing eastern again. Thought about doing the western route on the Oasis in May and then eastern on the Allure until I saw that Nassau was the first stop on the itinerary and only 7-1. Even though Nassau is not a deal breaker, I like the Oasis eastern itinerary better.

I'm also on that cruise and trying to book shows. I will be with a group and we'll have late dinner seating but I don't know if it's 8:30 or 9:30. When is the best time to book shows? So far I booked Hairspray at 2:30 on 5/27 and I picked the 7:30 shows of Come Fly with Me and Oasis of Dreams. Will we be late for dinner? If the 10:45 shows are available, should I switch?

I guess this goes to show like the women on the phone told me.....they are changing them around from sailing to sailing so don't count that the May 29th will exactly follow June 12th.

Second seating is at 8:30. You will be fine with Come Fly With Me and Oasis of Dreams as you have scheduled. I believe that Come Fly With Me last forty-five minutes and Oasis of Dreams only lasted 30 minutes. This will still give you time to get to dinner. If you want to schedule anything for late in the evening, you will need to allow about an hour and a half for dinner.

Steve, I think that I have figured out what they're doing. If Hairspray is shown later in the week on one cruise, on the very next cruise Hairspray is shown on the first couple of nights. I think that this has to do with changing the sets around on in the theater. This way they can leave the sets for Hairspray in place from one cruise to the next and then change out for Come Fly With Me for later in the week which will then be shown first on the next cruise. Does that make sense? :D

I'm on the Oasis next week (Feb.13) and that's when it is scheduled.....plus most 7 day cruises have them on day 2 and day 6 (so I guess you could just call it an educated guess).

Yea but you aren't sailing a Western route that has a port stop till 8pm on day 6 now are ya:pwe know that on the Eastern it's day 6 (which would make perfect sense since it's a sea day) but that doesn't mean it will follow that way on the Western.
