hz6pl8 Posted February 5, 2010 #1 Share Posted February 5, 2010 We will be in Barbados next week and we want to see some of the island as well as the turtles. Does anyone know of a short catameran tour say 2 hrs that we could do a turtle swim but still have time to tour island. A 5hr cat ride along with some other long day tours we are doing in St. Lucia and Antigua durring the cruise would be too much. Thanks for your help
Dgonza Posted February 8, 2010 #2 Share Posted February 8, 2010 You could always do the turtle tour yourself. Thats what we did. We took the local bus to Cranes beach for 75 cents usd. We had our own snorkel gear and we just swam out to where the turtles were. It is about a 100 yard swim though. You cant miss the turtle area because there are catamarans coming in and out of there all day long. We had a great time not to mention it was cheap. We then hopped on the bus for 75 cents once again and went over to Accra Beach ate an awesome flying fish sandwich and hung out at the pink sand beach. Then hopped on the bus and headed back to port. Thanks for your help EEks, don't know if i would be brave enuf to do that on my own. How about this? Just a suggestion-it sounds safer and gives a tour of the island. Seems reasonable and covers what you want to do. www.glorytours.org/paradisetour.html
JenAndDan Posted February 8, 2010 #4 Share Posted February 8, 2010 We are looking at doing Shasa's 1/2 day snorkel and turtle swim. It's only 3 1/2 hours.
