Echeck Posted February 6, 2010 #2 Share Posted February 6, 2010 It is new, and is very nice. I stayed there last week before a flight out of fll. What in particular are you looking to know?
daze823 Posted February 8, 2010 #3 Share Posted February 8, 2010 The hotel is accross the street from a large shopping center with lots of restaurants and a few bars, there is a Dave and Busters, Red Lobster, Ale House, Sweet Tomatoes (salad bar restaurant), a few fast food places, and stores like Kmart, office depot, BJ's, etc.. It's convenient for those places. Also, if you are traveling with kids or young adults, there is a place called Boomers in the vacinity, it's got minature golf, go-karts, and a very large arcade... As far as things to do for a two day stay, you are going to be pretty far from Fort Lauderdale beach, but not to far from Dania Beach (not much there but a beach and a fishing pier) or from Hollywood Beach, where they have a lot of restaurants and tourist shops along the board walk on the beach. The Hollywood Hard Rock isn't far down the street (3 or 4 miles) and has a casino, black jack, poker and baccarat I think... There is a shopping/restaurant complex at the hard rock, with clubs, comedy club, fun stores, bars, etc... Great place to spend an evening... Most places that you will want to go will require a cab ride, or possibly a bus ride if interested, you can check the bus routes at http://www.broward.org/bct/ It's a nice hotel, not in a bad area depending on what you want to do, but you will not be in the middle of a touristy area with a lot within walking distance... One last thing, there is a great cuban restaurant on the other side of the interstate from you, it's called Las Vegas cuban cuisine, and I highly recommend it...
