Kryssa Posted March 24, 2013 #4 Share Posted March 24, 2013 We booked with Miles from Nevis Yacht Charters and had a great day on a private sailing trip. This boat is the perfect size for about 4-6 people, so our family of 5 fit really well. Much of the sailing time was spent laying out for the 3 ladies. The men spent most of the time hanging in the back and chatting with Miles and Alvin. There is a small kitchen and bathroom on the boat and the day is very flexible. Miles asked what we wanted to do and planned around that. We sailed away from the cruise ship for some time and then snorkeled in this great little cove with a ship wreck and Alvin jumped into the water and showed us some fish and a whole lobster family! While we are all experienced snorkelers, this would also be a great trip for beginner snorkelers as the conditions were really good. We crossed over to Nevis and had lunch at a great little beach front restaurant. We were literally the only people on the small beach! You would never know there was a cruise ship with 2500 passengers docked on St. Kitts that day! After lunch we spent some time on the beach and then had to head back to the ship. Our day with Miles was from about 9am to 3pm- we don't like cutting it close when it comes to getting back on the cruise ship, so we had him come a little bit earlier than his suggested 10-4 schedule. If you have a family or a small group and want to get away from the crowds for a day, this is the excursion for you!
ERAMP76 Posted May 5, 2013 #5 Share Posted May 5, 2013 Kryssa, sounds like a great day. Could you tell me what you paid for the charter?
Kryssa Posted May 30, 2013 #6 Share Posted May 30, 2013 We paid $800 for the full day. I think you can do a half day for $400. With 6 of us, it was like $150 each. Totally worth it! Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using Tapatalk
