bonniemari Posted February 11, 2010 #1 Share Posted February 11, 2010 I got an email and a phone call yesterday for a Casino Players Club Cruise. According to the email you get some freebies, $500.00 OBC (email says cash but I assume it is OBC) and free drinks while playing in the casino. I missed the call but the email looks inviting (LOL). It was for a sailing on the Splendor in March. I am seriously considering going but wanted to see if anyone had any comments on the Casino Players Club cruises. amistad Posted February 11, 2010 #2 Share Posted February 11, 2010 We went on one last August on the Liberty, they give you cash in the casino not an obc to use however you want. They did give us drink coupons I think it was 16 drinks for the week, a bottle of wine one night at dinner, had a little get together the first night where they gave away some spa robes ect. to drawn tickets and had a few players club tournaments during the cruise. They told me you had VIP boarding, but they forgot to tell the employees at the port and if we didn't have 2 category 12 suites we would not have gotten the VIP boarding. That sounds SO par for the course! Now, if Carnival would offer some of their past guests a FREE cruise, then they might be up to the level of Celebrity. After sailing on ONE 4 night cruise (Celebrity Century) I received an email offering a FREE (less port fees and taxes) 10 night Thanksgiving cruise aboard the Constellation in a balcony (Concierge Class) cabin. I took them up on the offer! Carnival repeatedly sends me the players cruise stuff, after calling and discovering that it was not COMPED, I said "no thanks"! This is now ringing a bell, I received something in the mail a few weeks ago. As soon as I saw Splendor (meaning WEST coast) I tossed it without reading the details. I will wait until they sail a FREEBIE out of Florida! Have a GREAT time (and GOOD luck) !! Tom

Tom Hopefully that Florida FREEBIE will happen soon for you. I moved to North Texas area almost 4 years ago. When I saw it was The Splendor I was one happy camper. I get to see my friends and family and go on a cruise too. Like you I probrably wouldn't even have considered it from anywhere but Cali! This was airfare well spent. Going on The Paradise this summer, and back to The Splendor in Jan 11 after I watch the Rose Parade and The Granddaddy of them All! These were booked before this offer came along. Thanks for your well wishes
