trvlbug_jr. Posted February 11, 2010 #1 Share Posted February 11, 2010 Has anybody ever been able to get their hands on the recipe for Royal's Sugar Free Key Lime Pie? I know they have put out their recipe before for the regular pie, but I've never seen anything for the sugar free version. They are different from one another too, so it's not just a matter of cutting out the sugar. My husband is diabetic and loved the dessert when we were on the ship last, and if I can't get the recipe from anybody on here, I might have to see if I can get it while on board in April!! pcutrone Posted February 11, 2010 #2 Share Posted February 11, 2010 I wish I had known the sugar free key lime pie was good! I had the regular version instead of the sugar free because I was afraid it wouldn't taste good. Now I have an excuse to go on my next cruise...lol. I bought her last year's version. Will get back to you. Edit : She says (on MSN) ingredients : 1 cup sweetened condensed milk, 5 yolks,1/2 cup of lime juice, 1 pie shell or graham crackers precooked, then whipped cream, lime zest and slices for garnish Let me know if you want the rest..... amybeth4 Posted February 11, 2010 #5 Share Posted February 11, 2010 The cookbook has the regular recipe, not the sugar-free. You can look it up on Amazon and then click the option to look inside the book (under the picture). Regular key lime is listed in the table of contents. djneph Posted February 12, 2010 #6 Share Posted February 12, 2010 When I worked for RCI we had a database of recipies for easy access when guests emailed asking for them. Ofcourse I copied all the recipies before I left :) My wife like some of the food, so I make it for her. Sugar Free Key Lime Pie Yield: One 9-inch pie 1 packet unflavored gelatin 3 tablespoons lime juice 1/2 cup boiling water 9 grams Equal or similar 1-9-inch graham cracker crust, premade. Lime zest Thin lime slices 1 cup evaporated skim milk 1 teaspoon vanilla Juice of 1- 1/2 lime Sprinkle gelatin over lime juice and let it stand for 1 minute. Add boiling water and sweetener to gelatin mixture and stir until gelatin is dissolved. Refrigerate about 45 minutes or until slightly thickened. Combine milk and vanilla and freeze 30 minutes. Remove from freezer and whip at high speed until stiff. Stir lime juice and food coloring into whipped milk. (Save remaining 1/2 lime for garnish.) Slowly blend gelatin mixture into whipped milk. Spoon pie filling into crust. Chill until firm. Garnish with lime zest and lime slices.

Thank you so much, the hubby is going to be so excited when he knows we don't have to spend thousands of dollars just to go and eat this pie and he can have it whenever he wants. I wouldn't tell him you have the recipe - I would say "I tried but I can't get it unless we cruise"
