Laptop and Fees?

If I bring my laptop, does Carnival charge fees to use it? We are sailing on the Valor in March for our first cruise. If they charge fees I may just leave it at home. :)

I was wondering the same. We are on the Glory in 2 weeks. Mostly want to bring the laptop for the drive down for our son, but don't want to leave it in the car for the week. Are they safe on the cruise, or might it walk?

WIFI is available for a fee. There's a one time account set up fee of $3.95. Minutes are available ala carte at $.75/minute or with a bundle of minutes. For longer cruises you can purchase 100 minutes for $55 or 250 minutes for $100.

There is no fee to use your own laptop. We bring ours and set it up on the little desk area in the cabin. It makes a great slide show for the day's pictures, and it can double as a DVD player.

 

Now, if you want to get on the Internet, that is not free, as others have said. But we welcome a week without email and Facebook. Marvelous!

No, it does not. The satellite connection for cells isn't 3G and there's a $2.49/min charge for cell calls.
