Tours in Toulon

sharden

Recommended Posts

We will be arriving at Toulon France next October and wish to know if anyone has recommendations on private tours there and what are the best sights to take in. Three years ago we stopped at Villefranche and did Monaco, Eze, and St Paul.

Thanks in advance for any information.

Michel Legrand - Revelation Tours www.revelation-tours.co

Eva Devemy = Provence Sightseeing www.provencesightseeing.com

http://www.transferts-service.com/contact-gb.html

I didn't book any of these since I wasn't able to get a group together, but all were recommended on CC.

I did contact all 3 = Transferts was booked. Michel from Revelations had some good suggestions for a tour from Toulon and was very accomodating. Eva from Provence Sightseeing was accomodating as well. You can do a search of all 3 on CC and read the reviews.

Any veterans who can tell me what is best to see in Toulon?

You beat me to the question about Toulon..can't seem to find much info from people who have been there.

I have been all over Provence, but never heard of Toulon.

On your cruise too.:D

Ship's tours were pitiful and we found one private tour that wanted 80 euros PER PERSON to take us to some vineyards-we can do that In Livornio for $65 a person through the ship. The only thing that halfway interested us is an olive oil factory tour the ship offers-may do that-unless we can find a better private tour.

We had a wonderful tour with Marjolaine of Tour Designer in Provence in May 2012. She had a comfortable van with a microphone so that everyone could hear her speak. She was extremely knowledgable as we toured Sanary, the Bondol area for wine tasting, the hilltop village of Le Castellet for lunch and the port town of Cassis. It was a great day and one we will never forget!
