Bag search before reboarding at ports?

We will be boarding the Valor the 28th for our first cruise. Our first port of call is Grand Cayman. If I was to pick up a 6 pack of beer in Georgetown to bring on the ship, is there a chance that my back pack would be searched upon re-boarding?

I doubt it. Just don't make a scene about it. If it is, you will may be able to keep it. Hard liquor I doubt though.

Make you sure join our roll call if you haven't already. We're heading out on the Valor on the 28th as well. :)

 

As for the bag search, I'm sure it depends on who you ask. I know some people get back on in ports with liquor and go straight through.

As long as you are behaving yourself when you board, you will stand a better chance of getting thru, IMHO.

Not searched but surely X Rayed...

They'll probably direct you to hand the beer over to a guy at a table who will label it with your name and cabin number. It'll be returned the last night of the cruise...

But a lot of times if the guy at the table is busy you can walk right onto the elevator and no one will stop you. It is hit or miss.

I agree - depends on how busy it is....and I have heard of people buying TWO bottles of 'whatever' - being told to go to the 'liquor table' - and only handing over one of the bottles (they don't now how many you really have?)...and keeping the other one in the beach bag and taking it back to the cabin!!!:eek:;)
