lidorose Posted January 20, 2005 #1 Share Posted January 20, 2005 I've read varying reports about the condition of the Rotterdam. Some say she's in tip-top shape; others have reported on the damage she sustained from Hurricane Frances. Can anyone confirm/deny reports of broken doors, mirrors, ice tea machines, washers/dryers, etc. How does she look? Were the food and service up to their usual standards? Any information would be welcomed. Oh yes, we're sailing on her in March! Thanks! Rose
KAKcruiser Posted January 20, 2005 #2 Share Posted January 20, 2005 I was on the Rotterdam in December. Food and service were top notch. There is damage around the ship. Glass doors have shatter and crack lines in some of the gift shops, neptune lounge, etc. This does not interfere with the functioning of the ship. tomc Posted January 20, 2005 #3 Share Posted January 20, 2005 I was on the Rotterdam two trips after the hurricane. A very little cosmetic damage here and there as KAKcruiser noted. Other than that, you'd never know anything happened.
localady Posted January 20, 2005 #4 Share Posted January 20, 2005 We were on the Rotterdam also in December. I have posted a review in the Cruisecritics review area under "Rotterdam". It's a beautiful ship, and very well maintained! It was a lovely cruise!
