rjan67 Posted February 17, 2010 #1 Share Posted February 17, 2010 Hi All, Just searched and found all the info I need about Bon Voyage, but my question is how do you bring it up on deck? Do you bring a refillable mug and then get fruit juice? I read some say that they brought a flask and brought that up on deck. Doesn't this get some strange looks? I plan on drinking rum, so I was maybe going to put it in a water bottle. What did you do? Thanks!
badhangover Posted February 17, 2010 #2 Share Posted February 17, 2010 My first order of business on board (or darn near) is to procure appropriate drinking vessels for the week. A tumbler or rocks glass from the bar and a souvenir glass/cup from the gift shop. Then hold on to those for dear life for the cruise duration. Poseidon1 Posted February 17, 2010 #3 Share Posted February 17, 2010 On our 7 night cruise in December, we just had drinks in the room. We didn't want to have to keep up with a glass on deck. Although it was a little pricey, we felt it helped on the bar bill.:D
peach2320 Posted February 17, 2010 #4 Share Posted February 17, 2010 I premix my bon voyage drink, rum & dc, in a coke bottle and carry that with me.
jtdlmc Posted February 17, 2010 #5 Share Posted February 17, 2010 I will probably premix mine as well, but since it was purchased through Carnival you really should be able to take the bottle with you and sit it on a table and pour away!
Cruise, J.D. Posted February 17, 2010 #6 Share Posted February 17, 2010 You will see people drinking from a variety of containers. Your water bottle idea would work. I usually make my drinks in the room and then carry them out. No one is going to care.
imnance Posted February 17, 2010 #7 Share Posted February 17, 2010 Two words..... Bubba Keg. http://www.bubbakeg.com/Products.aspx I have the 52oz. I usually have it filled with ice water on a cruise, but it's been known to be familiar with vodka and the guava juice as well. ;) I pack it tight with ice (it is 52oz after all) pour in a few shots and fill with mixer. Lasts me most of the day. Bubba kegs can be found in Walmart, Target and the like.

Chowder_17 Posted February 18, 2010 #9 Share Posted February 18, 2010 You get a paper in your room with the alcohol that states that you got it with bon voyage. I believe my husband bought the bottle up on deck with him a few times and kept that paper in his pocket in case if anyone said anything to him. This cruise coming up I am also taking crystal light drink packages with me ,they have less sugar and I can have more options for mixes.:)
douglinc@msn.com Posted February 18, 2010 #11 Share Posted February 18, 2010 Get a glass from one of the bars, or take some type of cup with you. Doug
