What improvements for Statendam?

I read that the Statendam is scheduled soon for reburbishment. Any idea what that will mean for passengers? We're considering a Panama cruise late in the year.

New stateroom decor and bathroom remodels, reconfiguration of the showlounge and the Piano/Casino Bar area midship will turn into Mix. The Casino will be rearranged. New carpet and repairs where needed. And so forth

No Retreat

No Lanai Rooms

No additional balconies up forward or extension of the bridge and adding larger "wings"

No bar at the aft pool or Slice Pizzeria that I'm aware of.

 

The Statendam, Ryndam and Maasdam are set in 2 phases. First phase is the interior differences. Second phase is slated to be the exterior work. When Ryndam comes out of dry dock in a few days, that is also how Statendam should be after her dry dock.

Do you know exactly when the Statendam will go through each stage of its upgrades? I'd like to book the Statendam for a 4 day coastal and 7 day Alaska cruise in May but having been on the less than stellar first post-drydock cruise on the Rotterdam I want to be sure not to have history repeat itself.
