Shops at Heathrow and Dover

Does anyone know when we deplane at Heathrow if we are going to be able to make a quick stop at the duty free shops to buy liquor and soft drinks? If not, then how about at the dock when we get to Dover? I would like to buy some soft drinks and maybe liquor before getting on board ship. I would prefer to charge it instead of converting dollars. Thanks.

I believe that the purchase of duty-free at airports is limited to passengers who show a valid boarding pass/ticket on outgoing international flights. In other words, only passengers leaving (not entering) the country may purchase duty-free.
