If you send in an FCC but cancel what happens?

So hopefully I'll be buying FCC's on my April cruise on the Spirit. One of the four cruises I have booked after the Spirit is not ES. So I'm curious. If after I send in the FCC I end up canceling my cruise what happens to the FCC?

Do they send me a new one, just refund my $100, hold it to apply to another cruise if I want?

We had to cancel our cruise for last December after using the future cruise certificate. When I called to cancel it, they had me call a special number. I then told them that I had used the certificate. They gave me a number and told me to save that until I booked the next cruise. Then, when I booked the new cruise, I called again, and they credited my account. I had no problem doing it, but they do not send the certificate back. Hold on to the other part of your certificate so that you have the all the information just in case.
