NancyChgo Posted February 20, 2010 #1 Share Posted February 20, 2010 I like this cabin because it's midship. I realize the lifeboats will block one side of my view. **Are there any other drawbacks to cabins in this area? (i.e. 5192-5207)? If not Legend, ship w/similar layout? I found a good deal and would like to book, but I'd love to hear from anyone with any knowledge of these cabins beforehand. Thanks so much! :D Nancy

So your cabin 5194 (not far from where we were) should be wonderful. Hope you have a good time.:)

jtdlmc Posted February 20, 2010 #4 Share Posted February 20, 2010 CATEGORY 7A Each stateroom has a standard balcony that is obstructed by the roof of a lifeboat or tender boat (and davits). Obstructed by Lifeboat The roof of the lifeboat is somewhat level with the balcony floor; therefore, while sitting on the balcony, you have an ocean view when looking straight ahead but an obstructed view when looking down. · Port Side: 5168 5170 5172 5174 5176 5178 5180 5182 5184 5186 5188 5190 5224 5226 5228 5230 5232 5234 5236 5238 · Starboard: 5169 5171 5173 5175 5177 5179 5181 5183 5185 5187 5189 5191 5227 5229 5231 5233 5235 5237 5239 5245 Large Balcony Obstructed by Tender boat The roof of the tender boat is somewhat level with the top of the balcony railing; therefore, while sitting on the balcony, the view is obstructed – if standing on the balcony, you have an ocean view when looking straight ahead but an obstructed view when looking down. · Port Side: 5142 5144 5146 5148 5150 5152 5154 5156 5158 5160 5162 5164 5166 · Starboard: 5143 5145 5147 5149 5151 5153 5155 5157 5159 5161 5163 5165 5167
NKG6002 Posted February 21, 2010 #5 Share Posted February 21, 2010 We were in 5193 on opposite hall. No obstruction noted on either side of us BUT two decks above had a wonderful view of our balcony. I'm not sure if it would be the same on your side of the ship but it might be worth looking into..especially if you want to sit in your jammies etc. on the balcony ;)
NancyChgo Posted February 22, 2010 Author #6 Share Posted February 22, 2010 Wonderful responses - thank you all! jtd-you certainly provided a wealth of information for future passengers! Thanks for all those specifics! (unfortunately someone else realized 5194 was a good cabin and it's gone now, but this information is invaluable!)
