this is our first cruise and we booked our excursions independent of Carnival. We booked through Best On Bahamas . com . Can anyone tell me if they are reputable and can I trust them to get me back to the ship before the departure. I am so scared of being left in the Bahamas without a passport with two children but Carnival did not have any excursions we liked. The sales person assured me we did not have any thing to worry about but I now see where he was located in the States and not even in the Bahamas. He may tell me anything to get a sale. How can I check the validity of his company or any complaints.

You didn't mention which tour you chose, but I can tell you that this company is a middleman, and carries the same tours that every other vendor/ ship carries, and the timing is based on the cruise schedules.

Usually the morning runs start around 8:30/9am and return to the wharf at 12:30. Afternoons 1 or 1:30 returning at 4:30pm

Most tours operators will notify the ship or Port Authority if there is a problem getting back in time.. it rarely happens.

There's tours don't go far, and even if a boat breaks down, a alternate boat or ferry is available to help out.

I wouldn't worry about it.

we are going to the Lacayan caves for a 4 hr hike and we will be doing the sea lion thing. one is in Nassau and one is in Freeport. Not sure which excursion is in which town, have not received my itinerary yet. This is just the first time and I am a little scared.
