Nice Hotel near Beach in Miami?

Good morning! Does anyone out there have any recommendations for a nice, clean hotel near the beach in Miami? We are staying for two days after our cruise in April. We won't have a car, we're just trying to find something suitable with a nice pool and close to the beach and maybe a little sightseeing. Hopefully somewhere that won't break the bank too!lol! Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Lowes or Fountainbleu in South Beach.

We stayed at Cadet Hotel in South Beach a few years ago. It's small and boutique-y but very nice and reasonable. Had a nice size pool, which was never crowded when we were there. I'd stay there again if I were back in Miami. It's very close to the beach too.
