Getting ready to book, are show times same on all ships, can first setting make first show and can second setting make the first show?

sometimes the shows fall between the first and second dinner seetings @ 7:45pm, so if you dinner runs late, you might miss the show

The show for first seating has typically been at 8:45 or 9, plenty of time to make it. The second seating show is sometimes at 10:45 or 11 and sometimes at 7 (before dinner). I only remember a single a show at 7:45 the first night of some cruises.
