Recommended Posts

Ok, We will be in GC next month and we have rented a car to tour the island ourselves.

Anything NOT to miss...We love to snorkel so any good beaches on the other side of the island, not as populated and out of the way.

Thanks!

If you are renting a car, make sure to take a drive by the blowholes. If you have a video camera, bring it! We stayed in GC for a land vacation this past August and this was one of my favorite things we saw while there. It's amazing and I wish we had captured the sights and sounds on videotape. Anyone there can tell you where to find them. Have fun! It's a beautiful island.

We do have a video camera and we're planning on bringing it. We normally take it and then make a DVD of our cruises. Really cool...Was watching our last cruise (March 2004) and miss cruising SO much!!! At least it's only 21 days now BUT who is counting?!!! LOL

Unfortunately, the blow holes are no longer blowing!! The holes have been blocked up with boulders, debis from the storm. Attempts have been made to unblock them with no success. It is hoped to bring in special underwater equipment to help but I haven't heard when this will be done.

Hkolln, where did y'all rent from? We are thinking of doing the same thing but have a group of 6. I haven't found a place that rents minivans yet. Do you have any ideas from the research you did? I thinking that we should probably just rent two cars but am still looking for other options. Thanks!
