tobecool Posted February 28, 2010 #2 Share Posted February 28, 2010 Me, too, have the same question. I'm wondering if we could book Gordon Island Tour but asking him to Valley Church instead of Long Bay Beach. Anyone has idea?

Zeno Posted March 3, 2010 #5 Share Posted March 3, 2010 Wondering which is the best activity to do on this island. Those of you who have been to Antigua, please advise. Thanks! It depends entirely on your personal tastes. If you like history and great views, take a tour (by taxi or with one of the tour operators (Lawrence and Gordon get frequently mentioned). Tour should include Nelson's Dockyard, Shirley Heights, Dows Hill Interpretation Centre and the Blockhouse. Most operators will drop you at a beach at the end of the tour if you request it. If you like being out on the water and snorkeling - consider Eli's Ecco tour or one of the catamaran tours If you like beaches got to a beach. I personally like Long Bay beach and many people like Valley Church Beach. If you want to spend the day at a resort, some resorts have day passes. I believe Jolly Beach does and I know Hawksbill Bay Resort does. Search this board and see what people have enjoyed and see if it appeals to you. Unless history and scenic views bore you, I suggest a tour followed by the beach.
