Rhodes--Which ship's tour?

We will be in Rhodes for 12 hours at the end of Sept. I'm trying to decide between two tours offered by our ship (Regent Voyager). Both are 8 hours. The first goes to the Acropolis of Lindos and then a guided tour of Old Town. The second is an off-road adventure that goes to Profitis Elias, Laerma, Monolithos, Agios Isidoros, and Kamiros. We are not interested in shopping--just want to see the most beautiful sights. What do you think??

Thank you for your help!

We did similar one from another ship a few yrs. back and it was great, very scenic and somewhat rough, ours was a converted jeep van thing,,,but go for it....they dropped some of us off at Old Town, since we had extra time...so can see enough esp. if not into shopping...They gave us time to walk around each area, or to just rest and look at scenery,etc...do bring water, they wanted to charge $3.oo or so per bottle...also bring hat, sunglasses, sunscreen etc....from Old Town you can hook back up with first group to get ride back to ship, take taxi, etc....some walked, but depends on where ship is docked.Have a great time, let us know what you decide....:)

The tour that goes to the Acropolis and walking village of Lindos and then to the old city of Rhodes is the one to go for . Both these sights were the dramatic backdrop and filming location for the Alastair Maclean film "Guns of Navarone." Unbelievably scenic, historic and just stunning Mediteranean magic.

If you want a tour, I would do the first one as well. I am very much into history and culture and a jeep tour is more about adventure and getting shaken about on rough terrain. The old town of Rhodos is very easy to do on your own too.
