Back today from a cruise on the Voyager, Any questions?

Recommended Posts

We had a tough time boarding last Sunday! It was awful! Due to fog. We didn't get on board until 8 pm. Today the disembarktation was a breeze. when you travel you have got to take the good with the bad. It evens out:)!

We had a great cruise. Ship looks great! Food and service great! We were pleased with the weather too!

I have been told conflicting answers by RCCL regarding taking a case of water on board. Did you happen to take water on board or did you notice other people taking water? Also, what time do they start boarding?

We were on the 2/14 sailing and took a case of water. We were told by the porter though that they will not take it as is with a luggage tag as we'd done before. So we had a soft sided cooler we put it in with a luggage tag. It was delivered along with the rest of our luggage. And we also took a case of diet coke...which we ended up putting in our luggage. So if you pack it you can take it.

We sailed on the 7th. Put a luggage tag on a case of water. No questions or problems.

We sailed on the Voyager on February 21 also - great cruise after the madhouse/foggy start. We took a case of water and just put luggage tags on it, and it was delivered to the cabin, no problems. We put all the RCI stuff in the mini fridge in the cabinet above the safe so that we could put our water in it, and we told our cabin steward what we had done - no problem. A couple of times DH ordered the Evian water in the lounge and casino and brought the unfinished bottle to the cabin. When I got our final bill, there were mini fridge charges on it. I had time to talk to the steward about it - he had seen the Evian bottles and just assumed we had used RCI's inventory. He got the problem taken care of and the charges were reversed. I'm mentioning this so that if you order the Evian and take it back to the room, be sure to leave the steward a note that you already paid for it to prevent the situation we had.

And our room steward, Terrence, kept it full of ice all week.

Were you on deck 8? Terrence was our steward also.

Did you happen to get his picture? I realized on the way home that I didn't get his picture.

Glad you had fun. We are going on 3/14. Few questions for you:

1) Are ice chests allowed.?(Not soft side type but actually square icechest.)

2) What entertainers or type of music is on board?

3) What nights are formal?

Any other little tidbits you want to share are appreciated!:)
