Costa Europa cruises Offically Cancelled

Heard from my travel agent this afternoon that my 22nd March cruise on the Europa has been cancelled. They offered and I accepted a two week cruise starting 20th March on the Costa Allegro out of Singapore.

has anyone any idea how long the europa will be in dry dock?

It has been reported on another thread that Costa are confident the repairs can be completed within 30 days. This may include sea trials as the authorities will expect the ship to meet all the regulations. Apparently the repair will be carried out in Palermo where there is a huge dry dock and repair facilities.

 

The ship was going to transfer to Thomson on the 12th April? or thereabouts so there might be a chance the repairs will be completed by then. Probably no more cruses for Costa though.
