Has anyone used VIP boarding in Mobile?

I am curious too. My PVP told me all we had to do when we arrived at the terminal was ask for the V.I.P. line and we were good to go. Basically a front of the line type of treatment it sounds like. Hopefully, someone with an actual experience can chime in.

We always arrive early before boarding begins. We were escorted into a small room for check-in. Then we waited in a small area roped off from the non VIPs. When boarding began, we were the first to board. I don`t know the procedure after boarding begins, but I imagine it would be the same except directly after check-in you would be escorted on the ship.

We cruise with another couple that are Platinum and use the VIP checkin. As we go throught the regular system for us "commoners" (LOL), their experience was just as described. The only people that board before VIP are any wedding parties. They are usually on the Lido saving a table and have drinks there ready for us when we arrive. Good folks they are!

Depending on "when" you arrive.... (and how many VIPs are checking in) the "results" can vary.

Generally it is a benefit.

The last time we sailed out of Mobile....the Holiday was 5 hours late boarding (due to being delayed getting to port because of fog)....

EVERYONE was there at one time trying to get on the ship.....

VIP was priceless. Took us about 10 minutes to get on the ship, once we got through security. Others stood in line for quite awhile....

Just wondering if it was any quicker, etc. We booked a suite so the VIP boarding came with it...wanted to know if anyone had experienced it yet.

thanks

It is MUCH quicker ~~!!~~

There was a Carnival rep. outside the loooooooong line downstairs. When I asked where the VIP line was, she checked our paperwork & guided us to the front of the line. Once upstairs there was a VIP scanner with no lines, a zip through security and we were led to a small reception room where we were given our S & S cards. Then a rep led us to where out pictures were taken for the S & S cards, and then escorted on-board.

We arrived about 11:30 and we were on board well before noon.
