no problem, mike... lovin' it...

i'd love to do the victory itinerary one day...

and... lobster are ALWAYS creepy.. though very palatable and far less creepy, when served properly ;)

but on the face....

even in situations where they're in effective captivity...

they're still creepy critter, more closely related to spiders than crab, that we all love to eat

mmmhmmmm. lobsters are yummy.... ;)

keep goin dude, i remember saying the same during your previous review. you're doing it right - no worries.
i've always thought crabs were the spiders of the sea. what is this a pic of?

I'm trying to convince my daughter 8 to go snorkeling.....I think when i show her your underwater pics....she will be very excited to be able to see that herself.

Have you ever been to St. Thomas or Grand Turk?????? Where are your snorkeling spots there?????
Thanks

i have been to both. once in st. thomas we did an excursion that went to a shipwreck and a turtle sanctuary. the last time we went to sapphire beach, it was our first port on this cruise and you can see the pics there. but the snorkeling was not that bad, and i did see a turtle out there in the seagrass eating at the bottom. that's not a bad place to take a younger one because the reef basicall starts at shore, and you can see fish in 12" of water. we had friends that went to coki beach also, and said the snorkeling there was good too.

at grand turk we went to a beach club type place and the snorkeling was fantastic right from shore. check back here in a couple days and i will have a link here for you to look at those underwater pics, and i will post where it was exactly. but it was very good snorkeling.

I'm thinking about it. Aruba sounds fun, but it all depends on the itinerary. Raymond likes to go to a port almost everyday. He doesn't want too many sea days.

unless it changes, it looks like it will be eight days, with three sea days. i love sea days though!

DAY 6, ST. MAARTEN

now on to our last stop. the plan here is no plan. i figured we would be out of gas by this point, so we i didnt want to plan anything solid. you can get around here pretty easy by taxi, so that was the plan.

we started out the day with the french toast and ham again, i never got tired of that breakfast. then we finished getting ready and headed off the ship into port.

as we walk off of the ship i see the miracle sitting there and figure it's a good time to get a pic of the damage from when they hit the pier a month ago, i figured i better get the pic before it does it again and sinks.

but as you walk into port it is a very nice and clean port shopping area. you can head to the left and get the water taxi over to phillipsburg or head to the taxis. we headed over to the water taxi. it was like $6 to ride the water taxi over. once we got to phillipsburg we wandered around a bit until we decided what to do next.

we had decided to go to orient beach for a short walk and maybe get lunch. so we found a driver and i think it cost $12-16 to get to orient beach. the ride goes through "the french countyside", lol, for about fifteen minutes, then we arrive at the beach. now orient beach is a topless beach. there is also a nude section to the right. so when we get dropped off, you can go right for the nude, left for the topless. we went left.

the beach itself wasnt that spectactular, and i probably will do something else next time i visit this island. we walked up the beach for about 20-30 minutes and stopped at a beachside cafe for a bottle of water. it was kind of cool that the waiter spoke french and english with his french accent, but that really was the best part og the trip to orient, almost, he, he.

yes, they were topless. just strolling down the beach lettin' it all hang out.

but back to the cafe. we werent really hungry, so we just ordered a bottle of water, that cost us six bucks, and it looked like a bottle of wine, kinda funny. i guess they're pretty serious about their water over there. after that we headed back down the beach to where our taxi had dropped us off at.
