feefour Posted March 8, 2010 #1 Share Posted March 8, 2010 We have 3 birthday girls traveling with us on Gem 4/3 out of New York and I'd like to have some sort of honorary dinner or party for them. Has anyone ever arranged a special event/party on NCL? I'd be interested in hearing unique ideas. Thanks!
VonChap Posted March 8, 2010 #2 Share Posted March 8, 2010 Our Roll Call group has arranged for a private dinner on the Gem. It will be in part of the MDR. They do need 20 people who will attend in order to arrange this special private dinner. If you have that many people, you can book the dinner well in advance of your sailing. If it is just a few people, I would decide which specialty restaurant that you want to have a special celebration dinner. Then, make a reservation for that restaurant. If it is a surprise, you can stop by and speak to the Maitre D the day before and let them know that it is a special birthday dinner. NCL usually provides a small birthday cake at the dinner table. I have done this before and it turned out to be a great celebration. If your cabin is large enough to host everyone for a Happy Hour, you can pre-order a bar set up and even birthday decorations, a cake, etc. Have a fun cruise!
