dasailors Posted March 11, 2010 #231 Share Posted March 11, 2010 Yor fine, honest and thank you . but think about it, why would anyone like doing it, what do you get from it, for a person to climb several floors in order to inhale from lighted tobbacco and paper , it must be something amazing. getting back to the thread now, I was reading that cruise lines have started to ban it in cabins and balconys as well, i dont agree with that at all, Cunard always manage to clean the air from the said lighted paper, I have never noticed it at all Hi again Rob I've edited your question a little, so now, ask yourself the same question. "but think about it, why would anyone like doing it, what do you get from it for a person to climb several floors in order to (I edited the inhale from lighted tobbacco and paper and substituted it with) meet a lovely woman and have sex with her , it must be something amazing." Now, I'm not saying for one moment that smoking is a substitute for sex, but.......... do you get my point?

Dark brown leather furniture. dark wood walls, etc. - a gentleman's club sort of atmosphere, but then again, isn't that Churchills on QM2

Perhaps a combination of CC and churchills? I just want a place to relax with a drink and companionable people where we can indulge the devil weed. Anyone up for a Sir M carpet in front of the fireplace?

brigittetom Posted March 12, 2010 #243 Share Posted March 12, 2010 Dark brown leather furniture. dark wood walls, etc. - a gentleman's club sort of atmosphere, but then again, isn't that Churchills on QM2 Would it end up being enclosed? I know I've passed by there alot going to Kings Court after getting on the wrong elevator and such a big complaint is people having to pass by smokey areas. brigittetom Posted March 12, 2010 #244 Share Posted March 12, 2010 I have to ask why anyone would have to travel up so many floors or to lean out of a window just inhale smoke from a lighted piece of paper and in turn damage there lungs. . There is no sensible answer except that it's no worse than hiking thruout the ship to the casino to have a cigarette. Then to make matters worse, put a $20. bill into a machine to enhance that experience. Obviously I need to find a thread to contribute to where I don't come off like the village idiot. I do hope you dont feel that way, we are only chatting, but you have to see it from a non smaokers side. Why would I want to walk thgough to the casino to inhale smoke either, there has to something that makes you want/need to do this, climb builds and walk to far off places. I dont smoke, I dont walk up hotels floors to set fire to paper sticks and stand and inhale it, so I dont understand why anyone would if I did I would be sick, I would harm my lungs and annoy people around me, we some not all. thats what the thread was about in the first place, so where can we find a bar for smokers

I don't understand why you don't understand this. :D It may also be difficult to understand that some people don't understand why anyone would want to stay on a ship for 6 days with no sight of land. Similarly some people don't understand how so much time and energy could be devoted to discussions where there is no real answer. ( and all the others on the list which J expressed so much better earlier) However -back to topic. If the Winter Garden were used, what would happen to all the paintings which are stored there. (For my part -they could just go) They would have to find somewhere else to exhibit and auction them. Also it is very close to Kings Court so health and safety would prevail probably. (Apologies for mentioning the 'H' word.)
Norfolk Brit Posted March 12, 2010 #250 Share Posted March 12, 2010 If the Winter Garden were used, what would happen to all the paintings which are stored there. Eventually, once they had acquired a patina of nicotine, they would be vastly improved. Sir Martin
