Has anyone been to Arenal Volcano & Tabacon Hot Springs

We are on the Coral Princess and will be in Puntarenas Costa Rica on September 28th 2010.

 

Has anyone done the excursion to the Arenal Volcano and Tabacon Hot Springs?

 

I tried to locate the hot springs on Google Earth to see how far it is there and back and how much time you would have left to soak. The info on the Princess Website only says the excursion is 10 hours and that you will stop to stretch your legs! Hmmm?

I went on a land vacation about a year and a half ago. It was very beautiful. There were many pools that varied in temperature. Some were secluded and you could have the whole pier to yourself. One even had a little waterfall that gave a great message. There was one normal pool with a swim up bar that was very expensive. It also had a small waterslide. The buffet was very good and they provided a nice locker room. I enjoyed my day there very much.
