CRUISE0825 Posted March 10, 2010 #1 Share Posted March 10, 2010 We'll be on the Triumph in April and some of my cruisemates are going to swim with the dolphins and then shop downtown. I'm not doing the dolphin excursion but I want to meet up with them downtown afterwards. How far is it from where we dock to downtown? Can I walk? skippyy Posted March 10, 2010 #2 Share Posted March 10, 2010 Very close. Suggest you use Google maps, Cozumel. Checked yesterday and saw dock with cruise ship coming:eek: May want to meet at one of the more popular restaurant/lounges with outdoor seating for comfort. Enjoy your cruise.skippyy

When we were there in January on the Conquest we docked at Puerta Maya. It was about a 30 to 40-minute walk to downtown, and there wasn't much to see along the way. Cab cost about $7.00. tandemcruzr Posted March 10, 2010 #5 Share Posted March 10, 2010 Yes, $7 for up to 4 people each way. A nice place to meet would be Palmera's across the street from the ferry pier. You could then walk a block east to Wet Wendy's for the biggest frozen margarita we've ever seen.
