Secret Harbor..Carnival dock question

We are booked on Goodfreys tour but I was thinking of taking a cab from the dock to Secret Har. and just relaxing than maybee taking a cab to the shopping area before going back to the ship. I would rather chill on the beach than take a tour around the island. Will this be ok or am I trying to put to much into a beach day ?:cool:

This is doable. You will find lots of cabs at the dock. We arranged for the same driver to pick us up and told him what time to be there. I've read on CC that they will call a cab for you at Secret Harbor in the lobby. Allow plenty of time for your return trip. We left 1.5 hrs, thought we would have time to shop, as it turns out there was lots of traffic, and made it back to the ship with only ten minutes to spare.:eek:

Needless to say, we didn't get to shop on our first trip to St. Thomas
