Going on the Serenade in September and was wondering if anyone has done this shore excursion in Barbados. If so, do you have to swim from the boat to the beach? Not a very strong swimmer and was wondering about this.

If this is the one with the water slide you will enjoy it! Most people went snorkeling. They took a boat out to the area and they snorkeled. Others like me stayed on the ship, listened to the music, and went down the slide several of times. It also docks right at the beach, so you are able to veg on the beach or swim.

It does mention a 70' slide and also a craft village on board. It does sound like fun. I'm glad it docks at the beach. Went on an excursion a couple of years ago, and the boat docked well offshore. Had to swim to the beach and, as I said before, not a very strong swimmer.
