graciallen Posted March 14, 2010 #1 Share Posted March 14, 2010 Once you arrive how much time is really needed? ie. Do the ship tours spend too much time there for what there is too see?
dnhill Posted March 19, 2010 #2 Share Posted March 19, 2010 We went by car and spent about 45 minutes in the area. We felt like we had seen enough to get the feel for the place and moved on to other sights. Duane
graciallen Posted March 19, 2010 Author #3 Share Posted March 19, 2010 That's what I thought. Don't want to book a tour and "have" to spend too much time there, when not warranted. Did you rent a car, or hire? Would you recommend seeing it or doing something different?

There is a long path that takes you down to the sea side where the hexagonal boulders are stacked. You can either walk or ride a small bus that takes you back and forth. Either way an hour or so is more than enough.
beach bunnie Posted March 19, 2010 #5 Share Posted March 19, 2010 We booked with Black Cab Tours in Belfast. They take 2 to 6 people -- you form your own group. They'll spend as much or little time at each location that you want. We went to the rope bridge, giants causeway, and spent some time in Belfast. 6 people was a little tight in the cab -- 4 would be better. http://belfastblackcabtours.co.uk/
