JENANDGENE Posted March 19, 2010 #1 Share Posted March 19, 2010 Is there anything to do in Ocho Rios with kids ages 6,4, and 2?? I am almost thinking we will stay on the boat this day..... Jamaica makes me nervous:o
Animal 57 Posted March 22, 2010 #2 Share Posted March 22, 2010 When my DD was 4, we took her to Duns Falls and walked down the stair, then headed over to Dolphin cove. She loved the birds and the pirates.
hawkshoe Posted March 26, 2010 #3 Share Posted March 26, 2010 Reggae Beach is nice and quiet. You could have a relaxing beach day there with the kids.
BO HANSON Posted May 3, 2010 #4 Share Posted May 3, 2010 Having been to Jamaica a few times, we'll be exploring "leaving the kids on board" option. I don't need the hassles of saying 'no thanks mon' for more than just me and my dw, as we try to navigate to or from a cab or beach. I can only imagine the tugs at heart strings with our 5 yr olds in tow. No thanks.
luv-jamaica Posted May 3, 2010 #5 Share Posted May 3, 2010 What i think would be best for you visiting Jamaica with the kids, is you should do some research and hook up with a private tour operator and customize something to suite you and your family being on the island, go at your own pace and leisurely time, look into that option, i think you should show the kids Jamaica, and you shouldn't let it miss you! One Love.
MiddleAgedBroad Posted June 5, 2010 #6 Share Posted June 5, 2010 I think you'll have LESS hassles with children, as Jamaicans LOVE children of all kinds.
cruiselovincouple Posted June 6, 2010 #7 Share Posted June 6, 2010 Yeah, just stick with an organized tour and have fun. We're doing the all-inclusive resort pass this go-round. That's always a good fall-back plan if you can't find a tour you're excited about. Dunn's River Falls was fun but I'd think someone would have to stay on the side with the 2 year old. ~Lisa :p
oncruisecontrol Posted June 6, 2010 #8 Share Posted June 6, 2010 There is a beach right where the ship docks. It is wide and the water is calm and shallow. We (3 gals in our late 30's) had a blast just soaking up the sun and floating in the water. As you make your way to the end of the pier (when leaving the ship) it is the beach that is on the left. piratelee Posted June 12, 2010 #9 Share Posted June 12, 2010 Reggae Beach is great. It's big, clean, beautiful, very tourist friendly and the service, food and drinks are top notch.
